Project and Export Finance
Berdeja’s project finance practice aims at developing creative financing structures for large, complex transactions. Our commitment is to always find a competitive edge for our clients through innovative financing techniques that in many cases have become a lead practice in Mexico. The firm has played a major role representing lenders, financial advisors and trading companies in connection with projects to develop steel mills, benzene, orthoxylene and paraxylene facilities, petrochemical complexes and other industrial facilities, to be financed on a project finance basis using income from long-term sales contracts and credits provided by consortia of international import credit and trade finance agencies and other commercial banks.
The firm has advised foreign banks and trading companies in the development of export finance and receivables programs for Mexican customers, as well as in related securitizations.
