Berdeja offers an environment which emphasizes team work and individual development in which to practice law. New associates are not hired for an exclusive area of work. They are encouraged to work in different practice areas of the firm before selecting an area of concentration.
We offer an orientation program for all new lawyers. The objective of the orientation is to introduce new associates to the firm and to help them make a smooth transition to the practice of law at Berdeja. Subject matters include the firm's culture, basic advocacy skills, utilization of the firm's support departments, legal ethics, and how to establish and maintain ethical and effective relationships with clients.
We have a deep commitment to public service. We are substantially involved in work on behalf of pro bono clients. We encourage associates to participate in pro bono activities whether or not the work falls within their particular practice areas.
Recent pro bono projects of our firm have focused on providing legal services to Impulsa, Mexican member of JA Worldwide, the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, through experiential, hands-on programs.
